Random Sack of Junk Contest!

Do you play Guild Wars 1? Are you trying to get your Hall of Monuments decked out in the next 2 weeks? Well I might just have something for you!

A random sack of junk! Ok, it’s not really junk, per se, but I like calling it that. And if you’ve played through War in Kryta, you’ll get the reference.

Anyway, so what hoops do I want you to jump through this time? Well glad you asked!

This is going to be a MASSIVE giveaway. I was considering doing multiple contests but I’m too lazy and there’s not enough time. So there ya go. There will be two main winners. There are also going to be two different ways to win and you can only enter each of these once.

The first way is to name my Charr plushie! (I know that’s lazy but I am really not good at coming up with names) Here are a few pics of him so you can get a sense of his personality.

You don’t have to go the Charr route and have Charr be part of his name. It’s perfectly fine to branch out and have other names. Names that fit with the lore of the Charr are a big plus.

The second way you can win is to tell me where in Tyria you would live and why. Screenshots or concept art is very welcome and would be more likely for you to win. I like pretty pictures, what can I say?

I will choose my favorite Charr name and favorite place to live in Tyria and those two people will win the following:

• 50k (That’s 50 platinum) each.
• 15 ectos
• Fireworks! I have quite a bit of crates of fireworks to give away
• Un identified golds. I have like 2 or 3 sets (or more, not sure) I’ll split them up somehow.
• Various other sweet and alcohol points
• Trick or treat bags! I have a bunch of these
• Other gift bags I have not opened
• Two unded minis (Jungle Troll and Temple Guardian)
• Various other odds and ends.

It actually might take a while to give you all the stuff I have. I am doing a massive inventory cleaning and I am a packrat! This is good news for you ^_^ I have tons of stuff to give away because I really don’t anticipate playing the game after Guild Wars 2 launches (other than to come back once a year to check for minis to give away).

If you just want to take the money (and ectos) and run, let me know. I’ll find other homes for all the alcohol, sweets, and various other items that people can use toward their HoM. Or if you want some of that stuff, let me know as well. I just want to clear out my inventory as much as possible. If I have anything left over, I will let people know and it will be a free for all for it. 🙂

So here are some rules:

1. Keep the entries (especially for the Charr names) clean. No profanity (unless you are using kitten, that’s fine), no racial slurs (even if they are Tyrian apropriate), no homophobia, etc.
2. All work must be your own. Any plagiarism will not be tolerated and you will be immediately disqualified from this contest.
3. All entries are to be submitted in the comments. Also, as I have learned from last contest, please leave some way to contact you. Twitter, Facebook, smoke signals, etc. I kind of panicked last time when I realized I wasn’t able to get a hold of people directly haha.
4. You have until August 25th at 11:59 PDT. (same timezone as ArenaNet) I will be judging them the next day. I’m doing in this way because I will be busy in the 25th with early access playing. I bumped it up since I haven’t really been promoting it and I haven’t had many entries.
